A physician's order is necessary for evaluation and treatment in our
program.
If your physician is unsure whether you might benefit from this treatment,
then a physiatrist (MD specializing in rehabilitation medicine) at SKI could
evaluate you. Call 612-863-4495 for a clinic appointment. Other aspects of
the Advanced Rehabilitative Technology Program may be helpful for you. Check
with your insurance to determine if pre-authorization for a physician appointment
is needed.
Referral should specify “evaluation and treatment with bio-rehabilitation
at the Advanced Rehabilitative Technology Program at Sister Kenny Institute”.

After the referral is pre-authorized, you will receive a call from the scheduling
coordination to set up an appointment with an ART therapist.
The initial evaluation will require one hour of your time.
If the therapist recommends ongoing treatment, you will be scheduled for
2-3 sessions per week as an outpatient.
